We can also use a handheld Tappymed II massager (pictured) which gives you a thorough massage for sore, stiff and tense muscles from the neck and shoulders to the soles of your feet. The different heads provide different types of massage. All of them can be used with or without heat.

Do you play music during a treatment?
You have a choice. We can play background music or relaxing sounds. Our therapy room has an iPod with a wide choice of soothing music or sounds from nature (for example waves, surf, birds, a forest, tropical rain or a thunderstorm). Alternatively, we can treat you in silence if you prefer.

What oils do you use for massage?
We use grape seed oil for our massages as there's no chance that you will be allergic to it. The oil is warmed before it touches your body, creating that extra luxurious and sensual feel.

What should I wear for a massage?
If you are coming for a Swedish massage, the oils may damage your clothes when you get dressed again, so please wear something old. If you are coming for a Sports massage or Shiatsu massage please wear loose-fitting baggy clothes. Please don’t wear jeans.

Can I have a shower afterwards?
Yes. A shower is located right next to the treatment room. You will probably find that, a few minutes after the treatment, the oil will have been absorbed by your body. Please tell us if you would like to use the shower when you book, as we will need to allow extra time for your appointment.
