What is a Facial?
A facial involves a variety of skin treatments including
steaming, cleansing, toning, exfoliation, applying creams and
lotions, the extraction of spots, applying a facial mask and a
little light massage. Facials use everything from oils, creams,
gels and serums to give you cleaner, healthier, brighter skin.

Why should I have a Facial?
Having a facial will cleanse your skin: it will take off the
layer of dead skin cells and deep-clean your pores to help
prevent acne and dull skin.

A facial will balance the different areas of your facial skin,
improve its texture, general health and appearance.

A facial will re-hydrate – or moisturize – your skin as well as
nourish your complexion. A facial will tighten and brighten
your skin, making you look younger, firmer and fresher.

I have spots on my face, can a Facial help?
Yes. As part of your Facial, Daniel will remove any blackheads
and whiteheads. However, if you have a lot of blackheads you
may need a second Facial treatment.

If you have too many removed in one session, this can be
traumatic for your skin. If you have acne you should NOT have a
Facial.

How will I feel after my Facial?
Having a facial will make you feel pampered, relaxed and
refreshed. Your skin should feel fresher, softer and more
supple.

Your facial should leave you glowing with a sense of how
beautiful and renewed, re-balanced, restored and re-vitalised
you are.

But you may not look like that! You may look a bit
greasy and like you aren’t wearing enough make-up. You may also
be a bit unkempt as your hair may be sticking up after it was
swept back during the facial. You are welcome to check your
appearance in the mirror before you leave!

How often should I get a Facial?
How often you come for a facial will depend on you. It takes a
month for your skin to re-generate so we would suggest a facial
treatment every month.

Failing that, try to have a facial at least four times a year,
as the seasons change (from spring to summer, autumn to winter,
etc).

What should I do before I come for a Facial?
Nothing! All you have to do is turn up. Before we start your
facial treatment we will work out your skin type and texture,
and tailor the facial to meet your needs.

If you have sensitive skin, it might be worth asking in advance
if you can "test" the products to make sure that you don't have
a bad reaction to them.

Will I be sitting up or lying down during my Facial?
You will receive your facial while lying down on my massage
table, although your head will be slightly raised. Your hair
will be swept back from your face.

What should I do or not do after a Facial?
After you have had a facial, for the next 24 hours:

Don't have any heat treatments
Don't take any exercise
Don't put any other cosmetic products on your face
Don't wear make-up
Don't use any suncream
Do drink water
Do have a good skincare regime

Is there any reason why I can’t have a Facial?
Almost anyone can have a facial without any risk. If you have
any skin allergies, skin conditions or you are pregnant please
let me know when you book your appointment.

You should not come for a facial if:

You have hyper-sensitive skin (eg. sunburn)
You have extremely vascular skin
You have an acute inflammation or swelling (eg. stings)
You have an Infectious skin condition
You have severe Asthma or sinus disorders
You are a diabetic
You have just had an operation
You have Cancer
You are taking Warfarin, Roaccutane or Steroids
You have Acne
You have just had cosmetic surgery
You have high blood pressure, heart problems or epilepsy

If you have any worries at all about having a facial, what it
involves or if you feel uncomfortable during your facial, just
let us know.

on my Location Page
There is plenty of free parking. Please either park on the
gravel drive or directly outside the house if possible.

Are you insured to perform facials?
Yes. Daniel is insured against the (highly unlikely) event that
you are injured during a treatment. His insurance documents
from Balens Insurers are available for you to inspect if you
wish.

Are all my details kept confidential?
Yes. When you arrive for your first appointment we will ask you
to fill out a short questionnaire about your health. Please
allow extra time for this. All your personal details, including
contact details, are completely confidential. None of your
details will be passed to a third party.

Do you play music during the facial treatment?
You have a choice. Daniel can massage you with background music
or relaxing sounds. We have an iPod Dock with a wide choice of
soothing music or sounds from nature (for example waves, surf,
birds, a forest, tropical rain or a thunderstorm).
Alternatively, Daniel can massage in silence if you prefer.

How can I pay for my facial?
You can pay for your treatment in cash, via BACS (online
banking) or Paypal. We also accept all major debit and credit
cards. We no longer accept cheques.

What if I cancel my facial treatment?
If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, the full fee is
still payable. If you give more than 24 hours' notice, we will
be happy to re-schedule your facial treatment.

Can I book a facial treatment for today?
Yes. Some people book a week or more in advance; some people
are looking for an appointment on the same day. If you are
looking for a same-day appointment, you may find that the times
we have available are much more limited.

What happens if I am early or late for my facial treatment?

Please do your best to arrive on time but if you are a few
minutes early or late for your appointment, don’t worry. If you
are early, we have a waiting room for you to sit in with a few
magazines to read.

Hair Removal

From bushy brows to hairy toes and everything in-between, waxing
is one of the most popular beauty services. We offer full body
waxing at my home between Woking and West Byfleet in Surrey. Your
privacy and confidentiality is assured at all times.

Body Waxing

Massage Therapies

Swedish or holistic (whole of body) massage uses several styles
of long, flowing strokes which makes it ideal for relaxation. We
use softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the
body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle
coverage.

Swedish Massage

Threading

Hair removal by threading involves using a thin, twisted cotton
thread which is rolled over facial areas.
Threading is used to tidy up hairlines, eyebrows and moustaches,
plucking the hair out at the follicle.
