How can Laser Lipolysis help me?

Laser Lipolysis is ideal for removing the fat around small, local areas of your body that just won't respond to exercise. This treatment is equally suitable for both men and women.

The pictures (above) are of one of our clients who has lost 30 pounds using laser lipolysis

Laser lipolysis can get rid of the fat which makes up your love handles, man boobs ("moobs"), your tummy bulge, the back of your arms ("bingo wings") and saddlebags. These areas can be treated quite significantly with just a few sessions. This is known as "body sculpting".

Can Laser Lipolysis help my "orange peel" skin?

We often get asked by women if it can help with orange peel skin and the good news is yes it can. Laser lipolysis treatments help with skin tightening and the cellulite reduction (the appearance of orange peel-like skin.)

The best thing about the treatment is that it dramatically improved the appearance of the orange peel Sam, Guildford

Can Laser Lipolysis be used on men and women?

Yes. We treat both men and women. Laser lipolysis works just as well on men as it does on women. Men generally have the greatest success in the chin, chest, upper and lower abs, and the love handles. Women achieve the best results on a mummy tummy, bingo wings, droopy breasts, saggy bottoms or large areas of fat.

Which areas of my body can Laser Lipolysis be used on?

Laser Lipolysis can result in inch-loss on:

Male chest (Man Boobs or "moobs")
Upper and Lower Abdomen
Chin
Neck
Stomach
Facial cheeks
Double chins
Hips
Inner and Outer Thighs
Buttocks
Love Handles
Upper and lower back
Arms (under your biceps)
Baby bulge and
Knees

Laser Lipolysis can improve your abs; it's a very popular treatment area. It's not so much weight lost, but inches lost. While the waist and hip size goes down, so does your trouser or dress size.

So what is Laser Lipolysis?

Laser Lipolysis is a safe form of laser liposuction that can really change your body, almost instantly.

It uses a mild low laser (or cold laser) treatment to reduce your body's fat. It's not cosmetic surgery. It's non-invasive: there are no needles or injections. It's painless and you don't need to take any time off work afterwards. It gives you the results of liposuction without the surgery.

Hang on a moment, what is lipolysis anyway?

Lipolysis is a natural process which goes on all day in your body to remove the fat stored in your cells. Lipolysis balances the levels of fat, salt etc. Laser lipolysis just speeds up that process and gets your body to remove fat where you want it removed.

So by having laser lipolysis you are not asking your body to do anything that it wouldn't do naturally.

I lost some of my baby bulge and I also lost 10 pounds. Elizabeth, Woking

What should I do before a Laser Lipolysis treatment?

Please make sure that you have had a shower within the last 4 hours. Make sure that you do not put on any cream or perfumed products during the previous 24 hours.

If you are diabetic:

Please bring along the last 24 hours-worth of blood sugar readings which have been taken at 4-6 hourly intervals. I will also need your blood sugar level taken just before a treatment and another 20 minutes afterwards. You must also be well hydrated and bring along your emergency hypo kit.

What happens during a treatment?

We will ask you to fill in a questionnaire about your health and which areas of your body that you would like to be treated.

Daniel will then ask you to lie down on the massage table while he attaches the "paddles" of the Lumislim Pro machine to the relevant areas, plus others near your lymph nodes. Then you sit back and relax while the machine gets to work:

How long does a treatment take?

Please allow an hour for each session. Lumislim Pro treatments take between 20 and 40 minutes.

Is Laser Lipolysis safe?

Yes it is completely safe. Laser lipolysis uses "cold" laser therapy because it doesn't heat your body. The effects on your fat cells are not due to the heat as in laser surgery.

High power lasers - whch are used in surgery - work because they produce heat which cuts the tissue. The Low power laser, used in the Lumislim machine, is only able to operate at a constant light wavelength of 650nm which won't cut your tissue; it just stimulates your cells.

Laser lipolysis is safe because your cells have a natural ability to resist over-stimulation. It is not possible to harm your body's tissues by over-dosing on the laser lipolysis treatments.

You will not get any greater benefit by having a treatment five times per week compared to twice per week. However, once per week is not enough to maintain the effect.

The initial purpose of low level laser technology was for pain relief and cell re-generation for healing. A clinical trial demonstrated that modifying the frequencies and output was effective for fat reduction.

After continued studies it was discovered that low level laser therapy was a safe and effective indication for body contouring and spot fat reduction.

Laser lipolysis is completely safe and is regulated by the Medicine's Health Regulatory Authority. As a fully qualified and insured Laser Lipolysis Technician, Daniel is also licenced by Woking Borough Council.

I can't thank Daniel enough for making my waist nearly 2 inches smaller Rachel, Cobham

So how does Laser Lipolysis work?

The light from the low power laser penetrates your skin up to a depth of 9mm. That's just deep enough to reach the sub-cutaneous fat layer.

The walls of your fat cells are disrupted by the laser and develop tiny pores; the fat then flows out into the space between your fat cells.

This is when your lymphatic system gets to work. Your lymph vessels transport excess fluids away from the spaces in your body tissue and take them back into your bloodstream. When you start to exercise after a treatment, your body will search for an energy source (your fat).

Normally it would take fat from around your vital organs (liver, lungs, kidney etc). However, because you have had a laser lipolysis treatment, your body will take the fat from the treated areas (which is the path of least resistance) ... and so you will lose inches from these areas.

If you do not undertake cardio-vascular exercise following a treatment the fat will just get deposited somewhere else on your body, for example on your tummy or bottom. This is why we encourage you to use my Vibration Plate immediately afterwards.

What should I do after a treatment?

You should take at least half-an-hour's cardio-vascular exercise. This can include jumping on a mini trampoline, using a Stairmaster, a treadmill, running, jogging or taking a brisk walk: anything to get your heart going and get you a little sweaty really!

To get the best results you should do this within an hour of your treatment, and certainly within four hours.

After four hours the fat, which has been released by the treatment, will start to be re-absorbed by your body and may be deposited where you don't want it!

So can I really go straight back to work afterwards?

Yes. After your treatment, there is no requirement for bed rest or reduced activity and you can resume your normal schedule immediately.

The minimal disruption in their daily agenda is the reason most people find the treatment so attractive.

That all sounds good but why haven't I heard about it before?

Lasers - Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation - have been used for medical purposes for many years but laser lipolysis is new. Laser lipolysis was launched in the UK at the end of 2010.

We use the Sigma Lumislim Pro machine (pictured below) which produces similar results to other machines.

Can I book an appointment for today?

We use the term "Laser Lipolysis" as the correct technical term used to describe the process whereby fat stored in cells (adipocytes) is broken down. This is often referred to using the common term "laser lipo" (Trademark owned by Laser Lipo Ltd.), however, this term refers only to the devices sold by Laser Lipo Ltd under the "Strawberry Laser Lipo" brand, so the full term is used by Daniel Beauty to avoid any confusion with the "Laser Lipo Ltd" or "Strawberry Laser Lipo" brand.
